| Unfortunately, starting August 1st, 2008, the State of Hawaii now requires anyone getting married on the beach to have a permit! This permit will cost a minimum of $20 and for larger wedding will run approximately $1 per person. There are certain requirements that have to be met to acquire these permits so be sure to reserve your wedding with someone that meets the requirements and does obtain the permit. If you are found to be doing a wedding without the permit the State can fine you up to $5,000. We will meet their requirements and obtain the permit for all of our weddings on the beach. We just received our permits for our August weddings and it took 12 days to complete the process. So if you are planning a beach wedding be sure to plan ahead. |

Maui has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Depending on where you will be staying we will recommend the best one for you if you wish. We base our choice on years of experience. We do not want you to have to drive too far from your hotel if possible. Some beaches are a little more private than others and some may require a permit which we will be happy to obtain for you. Even if there are other weddings on the beach, most beaches are large enough to find a private space. It is illegal to take alcohol on to the beach so we generally bring Ginger Ale or Sparkling Cider for your wedding toast. |
