Beach Locations

Maui has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Depending on where you will be staying we will recommend the best one for you if you wish. We base our choice on years of experience. We do not want you to have to drive too far from your hotel if possible. Some beaches are a little more private than others and some are more photographic. Even if there are other weddings on the beach, most beaches are large enough to find a private space.

It is illegal to take alcohol on to the beach so we generally bring Ginger Ale or Sparkling Cider for your wedding toast if you are bringing glasses.

Maluaka Beach

Maluaka Beach is in Makena and perfect if you are staying in Kihei or Wailea. The view consists of Kaho'olawe, Molokini and the north end of Maui. The colors in the morning are wonderful. We start our morning weddings at 8:00am or 8:30am. We use North Maluaka at sunset and we start about 1 and 1/2 hours before it sets.
This is the south end of the beach and it is best for morning weddings!		There is a lot of beautiful lava rock for pictures at this location.
In the morning the light is perfect for photography!		This is a fun shot we like to do if there are no back problems!

North Maluaka
Sunsets are great at North Maluaka! There are also palm trees close by.		There is lava rock, greenery and drift wood to add to the photography. Click this photo to see enlargement!

Kapalua Bay
	Located on the North West end of Maui, Kapalua Bay is a great place for a morning or sunset wedding. In the morning we start around 8:00am to avoid the crowd that comes there to snorkel. In the evening there is almost always a fabulous sunset! Click on photo to see an enlargement!

Makena Cove (It is no secret)
	This is a gorgeous little Bay but quite the busy place. There are often 3 or 4 or even more weddings at the same time. If you do not mind fighting the crowd it is very nice photography. Parking is available but difficult. We recommend week days and mornings for less of a crowd and it is also much cooler. Click on photo to see enlargement!

Mokulea Beach

Mokulea is very close to Kapalua on the West side of Maui. It is a little more quiet and wonderful for morning weddings. Lots of lava rock and Molokai is in the background. This location is only good for morning weddings starting around 8:30am. There is a steep stairway here so heels are not recommended.

Napili Bay

This beach is located in West Maui and it is perfect for small intimate morning or sunset weddings. This beach is sometimes a little less crowded than most.
There is a lot of Lava rock at this beach and usually it is pretty quiet at this location.

Any wedding on the beach does require a permit. These permits will not be expensive ($20), and we will get the permit for you when you reserve with us. It is still very important however not to disturb any other visitors at the beach. Alcohol is illegal on the beach. The State and the County of Maui do not want anything to interfere with the Public's use of the beach. If you wish to have tables and chairs or arches, please use a private location! Anyone caught with tables and chairs on the beach can be fined. Some weddings offer it to compete with the ones that are doing the right thing. If it continues we could loose the right to use the beaches for weddings. That would be a sad thing and shame on them. Mahalo!
